VP Fuel Stabilizer acts like an ethanol shield by preventing problems associated with ethanol-blended pump gasoline. It keeps vital engine components clean and running at peak performance while ensuring quick and easy starts. It's a must if you own a vehicle, outdoor power equipment, or other small engine equipment that isn’t used regularly. Our stabilizer helps you avoid costly and unnecessary repairs due to long-term storage. We engineer its proprietary formula for all 2-cycle and 4-cycle gasoline engines.

Our fuel stabilizer bonds with gasoline to stop evaporation. It stabilizes gas and prevents gum and varnish from forming. Regular use of vehicles and equipment allows gasoline to burn up before it evaporates and degrades. However, when gas sits in a tank for an extended period (as little as 30 days) it breaks down and deteriorates. This results in gunked-up, gummy deposits that form in the engine. That's where a high-quality stabilizer helps.

Most pump gas contains ethanol, which causes most of the mayhem. Case in point, ethanol absorbs water. Water promotes corrosion, and corrosion is never good for an engine. In addition, phase separation occurs when a certain amount of water is absorbed (as little as 3/4 ounce). That’s when the ethanol/water cocktail separates from the gasoline, which leaves you with a layer of gas at the top of the tank and the ethanol/water layer at the bottom, and never the twain shall meet.

Why VP Fuel Stabilizer?

Our product contains a phase separation inhibitor that eliminates the need to drain fuel prior to storage. Our technologically advanced formula includes a superior detergent that cleans gums, varnish, and carbon deposits while eliminating the need for spending extra money on high-octane premium pump gas.

Of equal importance, our EPA-registered additive features a tested and proven anti-corrosion package. NACE International is the world’s leading professional organization for the corrosion control industry. The NACE Standards Test for Ferrous Metals uses a 1-5 grading scale to measure the ability to resist corrosion. Both ethanol-free and E10 (10% ethanol) fuel received a 0.7 grade for resisting corrosion. That’s right, less than 1.0. Adding VP Fuel Stabilizer with Ethanol Armor improved the corrosion rating to 5.0-top of the charts!

In addition, our additive helps reduce engine heat and extends engine life by lubricating the ethanol in gasoline. This reduces parasitic friction. When you reduce friction, you reduce the amount of heat caused by friction. A camel might love extreme heat; engines not so much.

There are a couple of other important things to consider when shopping for the best stabilizer: how long does it last? Our product stabilizes for up to three years.* By comparison, other major gas stabilizer brands only last for 12 to 24 months. It’s right there in their product description. Plus, a little goes a long way. One 8 oz. bottle of our product treats up to 80 gallons of gasoline (one ounce per 10 gallons of gas). Research other brands. You’ll see that an ounce of their additive treats five or six gallons of fuel, with some calling for two to three ounces to treat 10 gallons of gas.
