This Banjo RB300-200 reducing bushing is a schedule 80 polypropylene pipe fitting with 3 inch male NPT and 2 inch female NPT threaded connections. The reducer bushing has one end smaller than the other for connecting two pipes with different diameters. It has male National Pipe Taper (NPT) threads on one end and female NPT threads on the other for connecting to a female and a male threaded pipe or fitting. The NPT threads create a tighter seal than straight threads. This fitting is precision molded in polypropylene, which resists most chemicals, has excellent dimensional stability, and is sterilizable. In addition, it is reinforced with fiberglass for added durability, strength, and chemical resistance. The fitting is suitable for handling pressures up to 150 pounds per square inch PSI at 70 degrees F. This schedule 80 (thick wall) fitting is suitable for higher pressure than a schedule 40 fitting. This fitting is suitable for use in a wide variety of liquid handling applications including, but not limited to, fertilizers, industrial chemicals, pharmaceuticals, textiles, and water treatment.
